Biography:

I was born in 1984 in Northridge California and from early on I’ve always known what I wanted to do with my life; to be a great artist. As a child I drew constantly, taking inspiration from all sorts of illustrative books, movies, comics, and anything I could get my hands on. I would use crayons, pens and markers to create all of my childhood artwork which usually consisted of demons and scary faces, as you can see, not much has changed.

Right before I hit my teenage years I had become discouraged with using traditional mediums and eventually switched to Digital Art. Thinking how cool it would be to get paid to do graphic design I started doing it for a living, but after five years of designing artwork on the computer it became less fun and more like a real job.

Luckily at this time I was getting tattooed by Mike DeVries. I loved taking work off to get tattooed and hang out in his shop. Being a tattoo artist seemed like the greatest job ever to me. One day when I was there we were talking and one thing led to another. A few weeks later I started my apprenticeship. Mike showed me the ropes and I eventually started tattooing. It’s been an amazing experience learning how to tattoo, Skin is truly the ultimate medium and I feel blessed that I was able to start something completely new and love it this much.

As of right now I’m trying to dial in my tattoo skills while doing some fun paintings along the way. I still use a computer to do mock ups of my work. It really makes things easier to turn that mock up into a painting or tattoo. This website is to showcase all of my work to the public. I hope you enjoy the art and hope you keep coming back to check out new stuff. Thank you for taking the time to view my site!

Sincerely,
Jamie Parker
