Mike DeVries was born and raised in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley. He received his first tattoo when he was 16 years old. That event opened the window to a whole new world for him. He has always been into art, and had a fondness for the realism style. He would explore tattoo magazines during his early years, amazed at the portraiture work done by some of the great black and grey artists. He started tattooing professionally in 2003. As he progressed he found his niche in color realism. In addition to owning and operating MD Tattoo Studio in Northridge, California, he also owns Memento Publishing, where he markets, publishes and sells books that encompass a passion for the artistic lifestyle. He keeps busy as co-owner of Stencil Stuff, which is a company that offers Stencil Stuff and Spray Stuff, products that aid artists in achieving better tattoo results. He has garnered approximately 130 awards in the first seven years that he has been tattooing. And the accomplishment he is most proud of is being happily married to his beautiful wife Serena, and a father to his son, Kyle.
I’m Randy Engelhard and I have been tattooing since August 2001. First I was employed, but since 2005 I’ve got my shop: “Heaven of Colours”. I specialized in colour-realistic-tattoos and I’m widely guided by my role models Boris, Mike De Vries, and Roman Abrego. Since a couple years ago, I attend international tattoo trade fairs and also work as a guest tattoer, f.i. in California, Las Vegas, Australia, Moscow, etc. Therefore, my schedule book is really tight and it might be a little tricky to catch a free appointment, but I can tell you, your efforts will be rewarded ☺”Cheers Randy”
Anam: I began a tattoo apprenticeship when I was 16. I have been tattoing for 6 years. I like tattooing anything cool, lots of detail, color or black and gray. I specialize in portraits. I love art and have been doing it for as far as I can remember. I have previously worked at Extreme Tattoo and XS and have now opened up a shop with Randy. You can reach me at Kustom Kulture from Wednesday to Sunday.
Jamie Schene: Tattooing since 1993. Currently tattoos at Black Anchor Collective
