In this episode of Sessions, we met up with Adam Vu Noir at Musink where he spoke about putting a touch of surrealism into his classic illustrative approach during a badass scalp tattoo.
Adam Vu Noir is known for his ultra clean, smokey smooth illustrative works of art. One of only two tattoo artists who has tattooed on all seven continents, his outstanding style and dedication to the art form have cemented his place as one of the best tattooers in the world. Although he consistently travels, Adam Vu recently put his efforts into opening Strangelove Tattoo in Echo Park, Los Angeles, returning to the the Southern California that he knows and love. From Chicano, Japanese, Fineline, and more, Adam Vu blurs the boundaries of aesthetics to create his own authentic expressions.
Musink was created in 2007, by one of our favorite drummers of all time: Travis Barker. An awesome festival where music and art collide, the event blends a love of punk rock, tattoo art, low riders, hot babes, good food and more. Each year, Travis brings together heavy hitters across the industries to create an experience that is like nothing else. Spanning three days on the Southern Coast of California, the festival includes hundreds of incredible tattoo artists, including some Tattoodo Ambassadors, as well as several of top musicians, and even lowrider car show brought to you by Travis Barker’s Famous Stars and Straps.
