In this episode of Sessions, Debora Cherrys talks about her vivid and surreal Neo-Traditional lady tattoos.
Here at Tattoodo, we love to support innovators and high-quality creators. Debora Cherrys’ devotion to her craft is the epitome of what the tattoo industry has to offer. Meeting up with her at the London Tattoo Convention at Tobacco Dock, we were glad to hear how Debora is always evolving and pushing forward with her designs. Her exuberant and uplifting personality perfectly matches the bright colors and lively tones of her beautiful Neo-Traditional tattoos. Not simply Neo-Traditional, however, as Debora Cherrys explains in this episode of Sessions. After becoming a bit bored with that particular aesthetic, she decided to introduce a Surrealist touch to her pieces: breaking faces, skulls, and more, in half to help create an emotive and magical aspect to her work.
Based in Madrid, Spain, Debora Cherrys has her own shop called La Mujer Barbuda. In English, this means The Bearded Lady, and it hints at Debora’s playful and creative approach to everything she produces. In this Sessions episode, you can see how much she cares not only about her artistic output, but also her clients. Every piece she creates is custom, and Debora really loves when the Surreal Neo-Traditional tattoo she designs has a unique meaning. For some clients, they may want to share the meaning with others…but Debora smiles and mentions that it’s okay if they want to keep it a secret too.
Shot at the incredible London Tattoo Convention, we hope this episode of Sessions is another exciting adventure for you. Tattoodo loves to give you an intimate insiders look into the global community of the tattoo industry.
