Roman Abrego is a seasoned tattoo artist specializing in portraits and color realism, Roman was introduced to tattooing at a young age when his uncle Jerry gave him his first tattoo machine. He does not stick to his home base shop to showcase his skills, instead featuring his talents worldwide and doing guest spots at tattoo shops around the world. Family is central to Roman’s life, as he has two daughters. Roman was honored with the Tattoo Society’s Artist of the Year Award in 2009 and 2010.
Robert Atkinson: Born in 1969, is a native of Los Angeles who started his career air brushing t-shirts. In 1992 some friends chipped in and bought him his first tattoo kit. After practicing for a few years, Robert started working at Melrose Tattoo. In 1996 he was invited to work at Royal Tattoo in Denmark. After a few years of doing mostly tribal tattoos, he left Denmark and moved to Holland to work at Dragon Tattoo in Eindhoven. There he laid the roots of what would become his signature western oriental style of tattooing.Robert settled back in Los Angeles in 2001. Numerous guest appearances and 2 tattoo shops later, Robert now works privately at Dolorosa Tattoo, 11930 Ventura Blvd, Studio City.
Timothy Boor: I was born in 1975 and was raised in Kokomo IN, were I live with my wife and three children. I have been drawing every since I was able to hold a crayon. As a child, I was introduced to the works of the great masters by my mother, who recognized my love for the arts. I watched Bob Ross religiously, and at the age of 10 began taking private oil painting lessons from a local gallery. That was the beginning of a passion for art that has lead me as far as Florence, Italy to study renaissance drawing/painting techniques with world renown portrait painter Robert Liberace. My artistic influences include: Dali’, Caravaggio, Velazquez, Da Vinci, Vladimir Kush, Harley Brown, and of course Rob Liberace, to name only a few. The list of tattoo artists that I look up to is too big to name. My goal is to push myself as far as my abilities will take me, and to create wonderful works of art on skin and canvas. Although I love all aspects of tattooing, my favorite subjects are; portraits, pinups, realism in general, and custom free-hand work.
Rich Pineda: I got my start in tattooing through my friend Jeff Cooper in March of 2010. So I have been tattooing a relatively short time. I absolutely am in love with this art form over any I have done in the past. I have been getting tattooed since I was 15 and have loved it since then. I had a few friends that tattooed when I was growing up and one of them was my good friend Todd Townsend who was like a big brother to me. I always admired what a great artist he was as I was an artist myself and appreciated good work. I never thought that years later I would be a tattoo artist as well.
