Norman Matthew had spent a couple decades touring the country being the lead vocalist of the underground band Murder FM, but then an incredible blessing closed that chapter of his life.  That career changing/life-altering event was the birth of his son Dexter and not too long afterward, becoming a single dad.

Suddenly life had a much deeper meaning and purpose.  After a couple of years focused on running his music school, The Sound Foundation – Dallas, and raising his son, the desire to make music again began to call Norman back into the music business – as an artist.  But instead of falling back into his old band, Norman wanted his new music to reflect his dramatic life changes… and the result has been his Billboard charting project As Strange As Angels.

In this in-depth interview filmed at The Sound Foundation, #MischievousMel sits down with Norman to discuss how his son and faith became the basis for the new project, and the person in the music business whose story depicted in the film ‘LOUD KRAZY LOVE‘ inspired him to pursue a life in the music business as a person of faith, single father, and artist.
